Job summary

10 Hammersmith Broadway is a modern sexual health service in a central West London location.

The Outreach Worker will work within Hammersmith and Fulham to identify and engage with individuals working within the sex industry.

The post holder must be fluent in Portuguese to engage with the Brazilian community, and will work alongside the sexual health and HIV service team at 10 Hammersmith Broadway.

This is a pilot project to build relationships, understanding, and support for those working within in the local sex industry to better understand their varied support needs and how services can work in partnership to better meet them. The outreach worker will be based in a community setting and work closely in a multi-agency partnership to support those working in the sex industry of all genders.

We are looking for individuals who are motivated, enthusiastic and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work with a team in an innovative sexual health setting.In return you will join a team of friendly skilled experienced Health Advisors, Doctors, sexual health / HIV nurses, and admin staff responsible for delivering a high standard of care to patients. We have a full in-house and Multidisciplinary Education programme. The post holders will be expected to work flexibly within the clinic and Hammersmith and Fulham and this may include evening and weekend work.

Main duties of the job

To provide outreach, advocacy, and advice to Brazilians within H&F's sex industry who may be at risk of abuse, harm or exploitation, in order to improve their access to health services and improve their overall wellbeing..
