An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join the HIV, Sexual and Gender Health and Dermatology Services team as a Clinical and Effectiveness Manager.
The role would be suited to somebody with excellent leadership skills, who is motivated and driven. It will appeal to a candidate who thrives in an environment focused on actively managing governance and assurance across a number of services and ensuring that patient and staff safety remains paramount.
Working in support of the Directorate Senior Leadership Team, the post holder will be required to champion governance and assurance within the directorate with the aim of developing, embedding and promoting robust governance processes and a safety culture within the Directorate.
The post holder must be able to work with Senior Managers, Clinicians and Clinical Teams and demonstrate proven experience in a senior governance role. The post holder must have a comprehensive understanding of good governance, risk management and human factors in the wider context of the ever changing NHS.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Governance and Effectiveness Manager will work closely within the Directorate Governance Team and the Gender Teams to deliver the governance agenda for Gender Services within the HIV, Sexual and Gender Health & Dermatology Directorate. This will be achieved through the maintenance of robust systems and processes within the Directorate and the wider Trust in relation to clinical governance and quality, which underpin safe clinical practice. This role encompasses patient safety, risk management, audit and effectiveness.
The post holder will play a key role within Gender Services and the wider directorate to ensure a modern approach to clinical standards, audit, and effectiveness is adopted, including the integration of continuous quality improvement skills and techniques. They will lead the preparation of evidence relating to clinical effectiveness and audit for internal and external reports, reviews and inspections and advise on relevant processes throughout the service.
