As theGynaecology / CSPL Admin Support Manager, you will provide both operational and strategic support to the Gynaecology service, with a particular focus on theNHS Cervical Screening Programme (NHSCSP). Working closely with theClinical Specialty Programme Lead (CSPL), you will help deliver high-quality, safe, and effective cervical screening services, ensuring compliance with national standards and performance targets.

You will be responsible for managing a team of administrators, ensuring that all administrative processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with Trust values. This includes overseeing recruitment, induction, training, and performance management, as well as ensuring delivery against key performance indicators (e.g. RTT, Cancer Pathways, GIRFT).

Main duties of the job

  • Lead and manage the Gynaecology admin team, including recruitment, training, and performance.
  • Provide operational support to the NHS Cervical Screening Programme (NHSCSP) and ensure compliance with national standards.
  • Coordinate data collection, audits, and mandatory meetings in collaboration with the CSPL.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (RTT, DM01, Cancer Pathways, GIRFT).
  • Act as a key liaison between clinical teams, pathology services, and external screening bodies.
  • Support service improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of patient care and administrative efficiency.

  • Assist the CSPL in coordinating cervical screening services and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with NHSCSP standards and support the Cervical Screening Annual Report.
  • Liaise with off-site screening services and laboratories.
  • Organise and minute key meetings, and manage external audit requests.
