Maternity Cover: 12 months
Band 7 opportunity for a 1 Year secondment to cover maternity leave in Main theatres at Chelsea and Westminster - to lead Burns and Cepod theatres
To be the lead for the Burns and Cepod Theatres within the Main Theatres department at Chelsea & Westminster
Main duties of the job
- To participate in meetings and project work as identified and delegated by the Theatre Matron
- Deputise for the Matron where required.
- To investigate and respond to informal and formal complaints in a timely manner encouraging an open and learning environment.
- To monitor all incidents that occur within the clinical area undertaking root cause analysis as required. To manage any changes in practice or learning identified through incident reviews
- To liaise with other departments in the hospital e.g. Estates, Facilities, Finance, IT, Human Resources to ensure that services supplied are of an acceptable standard and problems identified are registered and addressed. Ongoing or serious problems must be escalated to the line manager.
To take immediate local action to mitigate patient or user dissatisfaction / complaint. Investigate any formal patient complaints in accordance with the Division and Trust Complaints Procedure
To actively contribute to the risk management and health and safety issues and undertake related work as assigned.
To assist with or participate in departmental and Trust initiatives or audits, related to continuous Service Improvement / Clinical Governance
To assist in the implementation of statutory guidelines e.g. NICE guidelines, National Service Frameworks
To follow the principles within the Trust Clinical Governance and Research Governance Framework using the clinical risk team as a resource
