Job summary

Assist the Pharmacy team, under the supervision of a registered pharmacy professional, i.e. a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician, in providing a high quality service to patients, Healthcare Professionals and other service users. To greet all visitors to the department and assist with their enquiry, answer telephone calls and direct or support as required. To effectively use the Webtracker system. Take part in the management of stock; ensure department consumables are replenished and ordered. Ensure filing is completed and archived as per policy. Ensure the working environment is kept clean, tidy, in accordance with SOPs, Health and Safety and adhere to the Trust waste management policy. Support the Pharmacy Operations Manager and Dispensary Manager in the delivery of an effective, efficient and professional pharmacy service.

Main duties of the job

Dispensary Duties

  1. To greet all visitors to the department in a polite and friendly manner.
  2. To print prescriptions off of the Webtracker as they are received
  3. To politely and professionally answer all telephone calls to the department
  4. To replenish department consumables and order as required
  5. To file all paperwork as per policy and prepare items for archiving. Ensure a positive and professional image of Chelsea and Westminster Pharmacy in a helpful and polite manner.
