Job summary
We are looking for 1 wte to join our busy Maternity Unit at West Middlesex Hospital site. Main responsibilities include working on the busy Reception desk on the Queen Mary Maternity Unit. 1 full-time staff (37.5 hours per week). The successful candidate must be able to multi task, the Reception desk can be very demanding, welcoming visitors, patients in labour, providing admin support for the Triage area and Antenatal Ward. Important for successful candidates to be remain calm at all times.
The successful candidate will be welcoming visitors, patients, recording visitor names keeping track on who visits each patient.
Recording all patients who attend Triage. Admit, transfer and discharge patients on our hospital database.
The successful candidate must be able to commit to covering Monday-Sunday and BH's a mixture of the following shifts 07.45-15.45, 12.00-20.00 & 10.00-18.00. When working a weekend 2 days off during the week will be given in lieu of weekend work.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will contribute to the delivery of high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare to patients by supporting and welcoming patients into services in a way that meets their individual needs. The Assistant Patient Administrator will also provide administrative support to a team liaising between patients, doctors, practitioners and other healthcare professionals. The staff member will work consistently to provide high quality customer service and will be professional at all times.
