Senior Patient Administrator

Job summary

This position is to work closely with the Imaging Administration Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the department, maintaining high standards of patient care, and supporting administrative staff. The administrator will work closely with Superintendents, Radiographers, and patients, utilising excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills. They will deputise for the Imaging Manager, where and when required and will carry out appraisals for more junior members of staff.

Main duties of the job

The responsibilities will include training and supervision of junior staff, to ensure that work objectives are being met on a day-to-day basis. They will be regarded as a key member of the imaging team. The role involves managing patient data, booking appointments and managing the diary to support modalities, handling inquiries including transport assistance, and ensuring that the clinical diary (Soliton) and records are up-to-date.
