Job summary

We are looking for an HCPC registered dietitian with experience of working within the specialism of Burns, Surgery and Gastroenterology.

The post holder in this role will be the named Dietitian for the adult burns unit at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. They will also have an inpatient caseload of patients on the gastro-intestinal surgical wards as well as being involved in the gastroenterology outpatient clinic service.

The post will also include cover/insights into ICU, parenteral nutrition, HIV and oncology.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary teams, providing a specialist clinical dietetic service to patients on our specialist Burns unit and gastrointestinal surgical wards.The post holder will support the dietetic gastroenterology outpatient service.The specialist dietitian will be integral to promoting a high quality service to individuals under their care and ensure that the services provided promote respect, dignity and equality for all people.Working across the clinical support division, the post holder will be responsible for providing professional development to the dietitians and support worker teams across the clinical areas.The post holder will develop, implement and evaluate policies, guidelines and protocols for the management of patients attending the clinical area in conjunction with the specialist MDT teams.The post will be based at the Chelsea & Westminster Site, though there may be occasions where you will be asked to cover the West Middlesex site for cover or meetings etc.
