Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the finance team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to support the Private Patient Directorate within the Trust's Enterprise Division.

The aim of the role is to provide proactive financial leadership of the highest possible standard to the Private Patient Directorate, advising on all aspects of financial management.The post holder will have a senior role in the financial performance management of the Directorate and be expected to challenge, influence and advise on the activity of the Directorate in order to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, value for money whilst also maximising income and profitability for the Trust.

Main duties of the job

This person will hold a professional qualification in accountancy (CCAB or equivalent) and will be able to provide evidence of continuously developing by having relevant post-qualification experience or significant management accounting experience in a large, complex organisation (NHS experience is beneficial but not essential). Business partnering is a key element of the role so this person must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work as a Senior Finance Manager with the ability to present analysis, influence budget holders, be dedicated and be self-motivated. The post holder will be the financial lead for the respective Directorate whilst also leading on both monthly reporting and annual business planning.

The role reports to the Finance Business Partner and is based primarily at the Trust's Chelsea site.
