Job summary
The successful candidate will join a small dynamic team of enthusiastic staff and will support the Head & Deputy Head of Information Governance in promoting adherence to information governance (IG) best practice within the organisation.
The role will assist with a range of IG-related duties, including:
- Freedom of Information (FOI) Compliance- Data Protection Compliance- Corporate Records Best Practice.
The postholder will help the team ensure that staff at all levels of the organisation are provided with appropriate IG training.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will need to be self-motivated with an eye for detail and have a good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products. They will need to be a very good communicator and will be expected to liaise with all levels of staff around the Trust and across the NW London patch.
Working as a key member of the Information Governance Team they will support:
- The FOI process in all duties
- The provision of an information governance advice service to the Trust
- Managing the Trust's data flows and information asset register using the Trust's data protection compliance software
- Maintenance of the various IG and DPO logs
- Management of IG / Confidentiality breaches

Essential
- Educated to A level, NVQ level 3 in Business and Administration or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable experience of working in an administrative role in a busy office environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office modules in particular Excel, Word & Outlook
- Good Organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable
- Working in NHS or other similar health care environment
- Previous experience of transcribing formal minutes
- Information Governance or Freedom of information qualifications
