You will work closely with the Head of ER to provide a specialist employee relations and resolution service to managers and staff across the Trust. The post holder will be responsible for managing their own complex employee relations case work, including but not limited to, advising on and supporting on the investigation of cases involving medical and senior staff and supporting the Head of ER with employment tribunal claims

Main duties of the job
The post of ER Investigator will report directly to the Head of ER and will work closely with managers to facilitate early resolution of employee relation cases by facilitating informal solutions such as mediation or facilitated conversations. Where informal resolution is not possible the post-holder will take forward ER cases as the lead ER Investigator.
As lead ER Investigator you will, with the relevant professional support agree terms of reference, carry out investigation interviews, compile investigation outcome reports and present at formal hearing/tribunals as appropriate. .
A passionate believer in 'Just Culture' you will demonstrate the ability to design and implement inclusive conflict resolution approaches. We are looking for an experienced and credible practitioner who is forward thinking, resilient with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
You will be a confident, decisive thinker with a passion for getting things done in a timely manner, making a difference and setting and delivering high standards of service. You will have extensive experience of managing complex investigations in a swift, fair and objective way. You must be able to work under your own initiative, pay close attention to detail and be flexible
NHS experience desirable, but not essential.
