Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to lead the project team to deliver the Finance workstream of the North West London Integrated Care System's (NWL ICS) Corporate Development Programme.

Main duties of the job

This post will be employed by Chelsea & Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on behalf of North West London ICS.

The post holder will focus specifically on the planning and implementation of the North West London single finance system and service centre. The post holder will support the Senior Responsible Officer and the NWL NHS Boards on the delivery of the initiative and its programme of work, in a dynamic and complex environment.

The post holder should have extensive experience of working at a senior level in a project management environment, including experience of working with executive colleagues from mobilisation to completion stages of projects. The post holder must be able to take ownership of areas of work and manage all aspects of agreed projects and colleagues in the project team. Evidence of effective delivery is a pre-requisite for applicants.

Individuals must be able to build and sustain positive working relationships with staff at all levels and across all organisations, with operational and clinical teams, and teams within finance, ICT, procurement services. The post holder will need to plan work and potentially respond at short notice to requests from Executives and/or Boards.

The role will require working flexibly to tight timescales across multiple teams and work streams. A commitment to co-production is essential.

The role is part time on a 1 year fixed term contract.

The Programme Manager is responsible for the development of all aspects of the initiative, working with all partner organisations and potential system providers. The postholder will produce content supporting the development of the initiative, facilitate key meetings with senior and executive colleagues and key decision points. The role will also include evaluation and monitoring processes to measure project benefits, and will work to resolve any potential conflicts between the project objectives and stakeholder needs.

Write highly complex, detailed reports for a variety of senior audiences, e.g. board papers, multi-stranded business cases, and options appraisals.

Use negotiating skills to persuade senior managers on the importance of programme initiatives.

Make formal presentations to large groups of people often at a very senior level.
