Overview

The North West London ICB is looking for an experienced analytical professional to join our business intelligence team. The post holder would take responsibility for primary care reporting and would be engaging with our cancer alliance, RM Partners, and develop reports/analysis as required by RM Partners. RM Partners provide services to South West London ICS and we expect the post holder to share analysis and analytical methodology with SWL colleagues.

We are looking for someone with hands-on skills that will require the candidate to

  • analyse complex datasets
  • direct the production of information reports
  • develop and deliver specialised training
  • contribute to the implementation of complex information projects
  • interpret client requests and develop local Statements of Work

Main duties of the job

This is a senior analytical position with primary responsibility for

  • Delivering and developing BI reporting and analytics to the wider ICS programmes
  • Engaging with our cancer alliance, RM Partners, and delivering to their pipeline of analytical requests
  • Engaging with clinical leads to undertake thorough review of coding within primary care to ensure reports/analytics developed are of good data quality
  • Working in a matrix managed environment with reporting lines to both the ICB Business Intelligence teams as well as RM Partners
  • Being a strong communicator and engage with a range of stakeholders to deliver the task assigned
  • Working with South West London ICB team to ensure there is alignment in reporting approaches
  • Being a subject matter expert in NHS datasets predominantly primary care data and how it is coded within clinical systems to help drive forward data quality improvements
  • Developing visualisations that can be used by the wider ICS stakeholders to take a population health management approach and understand variations of care.

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • To be able to provide strategic analysis and interpretation of the various data sources available to the ICB\ICS and to assist the ICB\ICS in understanding trends, challenges and opportunities and to identify the correct responses.
  • To develop the reporting and analytical capability for cancer through close working with our cancer alliance
  • Prioritise and coordinate work from RM Partners and ensure they are delivered on a timely basis.
  • To work corporately to support the organisations information function.
  • To work with the Performance & Information Manager, Performance and Information Team and ICB\ICS and primary care clinical leads to foster good working relationships and develop a coordinated supportive approach to working across the information function.

  • Undertake ad-hoc analysis of highly complex and varied datasets upon request from RM Partners, often with little prior warning, under pressure to tight deadlines.
