Junior Clinical Fellow- Cardiology, 12 Month
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in a career in Cardiology to work alongside a rapidly growing service supporting Cardiology patients in hospital. This post Is based on the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital site. The junior clinical fellow will support the clinical and administrative workload of the cardiology team. Duties include clerking patients, arranging urgent investigations and procedures, performing procedures within scope of competency, prescribing medications and blood products, and interpreting basic cardiology diagnostic results. The post holder will attend ward rounds, cath lab, MDT meetings and daily hand-over. Main duties of the job
Below is a brief description of the roles:
- The main part of the job involves care of patients on the Cardiology GIM ward.
- You will be part of a Consultant led team of junior doctors, participate in daily Board rounds. There will be daily consultant ward rounds of new patients, with SpR led ward rounds of existing patients.
- Opportunity to participate in General medical on calls at SHO level
