Job responsibilities

The Emergency Department at Chelsea and Westminster Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is a dynamic, forward thinking, busy department with a strong focus on education, training and research. We currently see approximately 130,000 patients per year with a good case mix of critical care, majors, minor injuries and primary care patients. The Paediatric Emergency Department is adjacent to the adult Emergency Department and is staffed by a separate nursing and medical team, however we work closely and often help with cross-cover.

The Department has a dedicated CT scanner and ED X-ray and we have very good access to advanced imaging like Ultrasound and MRI when needed.

The ED has an electronic patient record keeping system which is helpful to review medical discharge summaries, multi-disciplinary communication and for tracking.
