Job summary

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a 10 PA Consultant to work within its Craniofacial team. Applications are welcome to join a dynamic and motivated multidisciplinary department which provides both facial reconstruction and specialised Craniofacial services to its patients in North West London and nationally. The Department delivers inpatient and outpatient services to the Trust and works closely with the Plastic Surgery, ENT, Neurosurgical, and Oculoplastic teams to provide a successful and timely support service for patients with a range of benign and malignant conditions.

Main duties of the job

The clinical responsibilities of the successful candidate will include attending outpatient clinics, inpatient and day case theatre sessions, coordinating and attending the MDT meetings, doing ward rounds as well as participating in specialist activities such as the national neurofibromatosis service, West London skin cancer MDT and the Mohs reconstruction service.

There will be an out-of-hours on-call commitment in the post.

The unit at the Chelsea and Westminster manages and treats children and adults with all forms of facial deformity. The craniofacial service offers treatment for many forms of congenital and acquired conditions, as well cranio-maxillofacial trauma.

We have close links with the Department of Dermatology at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital led by Dr James Shelley and provide reconstruction for patients undergoing Mohs micrographic surgery and complex facial skin malignancy. The Chelsea and Westminster is the lead centre of the SSMDT for skin cancer in North West London led by Dr Rishika Sinha.
