Job summary
We are seeking to employ two Clinical Fellows in Paediatric Surgery for 12 months to assist cover of general paediatric surgery and urology inpatient and out-patient clinical care.
There will be a commitment to the management of paediatricgeneral surgicaland urologyinpatients and emergency admissions out of hours as part of a fully compliant non-resident rota.
The Department of Paediatric Surgery & Urology consists of 10Consultant Paediatric Surgeons, who provide neonatal, general and specialist paediatric surgery in the context of a centre of excellence within the West London area, including West Middlesex Hospital, St Mary's Hospital, Hillingdon Hospital, Queen Charlottes and The Royal Brompton Hospital.
Special interests include laparoscopy, simulation and urology. The unit is the centre for complex paediatric and neonatal surgery in North West London as well as leading a paediatric surgical network for the sector and developing outreach clinics and day case surgical services within partner hospitals in the region.
Main duties of the job
- Support inpatient surgical management of elective and emergency workload
- Outpatient clinic duties including administration
- Outpatient and day surgery support to outreach hospitals in North-West London
- On call commitment in line with European working time directive
