Job summary
The appointment is for a full time Consultant Physician in Care of the Elderly. The post is a substantive position at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on the Chelsea site.
Applications are invited from Full time, Part time and Job Share applicants. If a person is appointed as a part-time or job share position modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the trust in consultation with consultant colleagues. The post holder will work with the existing Consultants to develop services in Care of the Elderly.
The post holder will be responsible for a care of the elderly bed base involving 2 ward rounds and 3 board rounds a week. The post may support our frailty same day emergency care (SDEC) services and open access clinics (OAST) .

Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate to join our Medicine for the Elderly team. The consultant will be well supported by a robust management structure, including a Consultant Geriatrician service director and a multi-disciplinary team including therapists and specialist nurses.
