The post is for a 10 PA Consultant in Sexual Health & HIV Medicine. The job is based at 56 Dean Street, Soho.
The post-holder will, in conjunction with the existing consultants, have responsibilities for providing advice, screening, diagnosis and treatment of patients with STIs, including HIV infection. They will be committed to developing integrated HIV & sexual health services, optimize cost efficiency of the service, implement new technologies and develop new initiatives.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will have responsibilities for providing advice, screening, diagnosis and treatment of patients with STIs, including HIV infection. They will be committed to developing integrated HIV & sexual health services, optimize cost efficiency of the service, implement new technologies and develop new initiatives.
The post-holder will be required to build on existing close relations with colleagues and allied organizations as part of a multidisciplinary team. He/she/they will also be required to participate in quality improvement, research and management of the service. The post-holder will engage in specific management tasks and contribute to monthly departmental meetings. The post-holder will work with the other consultants at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust to deliver and improve outpatient HIV care, including recruitment to clinical trials. He/she/they will manage their own HIV cohort.
He/she/they will also be expected to provide educational supervision for the multidisciplinary team and participate in Wednesday morning educational activities, the virtual clinic and the weekly Directorate HIV resistance meeting.
