Job summary

NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group and axess are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our Sexual Health Service. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled autonomous practitioner to contribute to the delivery and development of high-quality, evidence-based sexual and reproductive healthcare.

About the role

The post holder will provide advanced clinical expertise within contraception and sexual and reproductive health, undertaking independent consultations and managing a defined caseload. You will deliver specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care, ensuring timely, patient-centred services.

You will play a key role in service development, clinical governance, audit and quality improvement, while supporting the education and development of the Clinical Practitioner Team and wider multidisciplinary colleagues.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have highly developed specialist skills and advancedknowledge in contraception and sexual and reproductive health. As anautonomous practitioner, undertake independent consultations with patientsinvolving working in the clinical area with routine and specialist clinics;delivering high quality clinical services. The postholder will be expected todevelop their skills and knowledge to the standard outlined in the HealthEducation England 'Multi-professional framework for advanced clinicalpractice in England'.

The postholder will be responsible for the education and development of theClinical Practitioner Team to enable delivery of the service specification. Thepostholder will also contribute to the training and development of other healthprofessionals as part of the wider team.
