We are looking to recruit a Deputy Lead Specialist Screening Practitioner to join our dynamic Bowel Cancer Screening team based at Aintree Hospital.
The programme has undergone significant change, building for the future and currently working towards the final stages of Age Extension, lowering the starting age of bowel cancer screening to 50yrs.

Main duties of the job
You will work closely with the Lead SSP and Programme Manager to support, lead and train the team of Specialist Screening Practitioners through this period of change. You will have excellent clinical assessment skills to apply, alongside evidence-based decision making to support patients, their carers and relatives taking part in the programme.Experience of leading a team, undertaking nurse led clinics; and working within Bowel Cancer Screening is essential.

They will also lead on the training and development of the SSPs to ensure the provision of specialist, expert knowledge to clinical colleagues, patients and carers/relatives. They will need to work independently and as part of a multi- professional team, communicate effectively at all levels and influence change and development of the service.
