We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the healthy bowel team at Aintree hospital.

The role will be supporting the healthy bowel team to deliver care to the patients who are referred to the service.

Delivering treatments and care under the support and guidance of registered clinicians.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit a band 4 Nurse Associate who is committed to delivering high quality care for patients with bowel dysfunction. The role will involve supporting the team to deliver care and education for people who are referred to the healthy bowel service.

The successful candidate will deliver care to the patients who attend clinic. This will include assessment and treatment for patients, this incudes Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation (a procedure used to treat bowel dysfunction) to enhance treatment and delivery of care. You will be delivering care under the support and guidance of the registered clinician in the team. you will be providing education and support to both patients and their families/carers.

We are looking for a person with a passion for providing high quality care that makes a difference to our patient and their families/carers. We are looking for a person who is looking to develop new skills and competencies and embrace change .

The successful candidate will be given training to support their development. We will offer training through a practical based competency training. We will also encourage and support your development through formal study where possible.

  • Successful attainment of the Foundation Degree equivalent component
  • Relevant NMC registration - Nursing Associate

  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience whilst completing the Nursing Associate trainee programme

Knowledge

  • Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs seeking advice where appropriate
  • Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the team and the organisation, and how therole may contribute to service development
  • Knowledge of when to seek advice and refer to a registered care professional
