Job summary
Candidates are to provide and maintain specialist Mammography services for Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Liverpool Breast Screening Service.
The post holder could be based at either the Aintree or Royal site, with rotation across all Trust sites, including Broadgreen and the mobile screening units.
Please note that this is not a training post and applicants must have the Post graduate award in mammography (or older equivalent) plus experience of working in the NHS Breast Screening Programme and symptomatic Breast Services.
Main duties of the job
For radiographers with the post graduate certificate in mammography, this is an ideal opportunity to gain wide experience in all aspects of mammography, in a large newly formed Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly & supportive department, actively encouraging CPD & offering a programme of both in house & external training. We are a combined Symptomatic & Breast Screening centre, covering Liverpool, Sefton & Knowsley based across 5 sites. We have two Breast Units, one in Aintree Hospital and one in the Royal Liverpool Hospital building.
We also have a static screening unit at Broadgreen Hospital and two mobile screening units, which move around 12 sites.
