Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (following the merger of the Royal Liverpool, Broadgreen and Aintree University Hospitals) is seeking to appoint consultant diagnostic radiologist for a substantive post with subspecialty interest in primarily gastrointestinal imaging (GI).

The post will involve a specialist GI and general imaging , delivered across the Trust sites. This role is funded as 10 WTE and on call supplement, but part time can be supported.

Candidates must have GMC registration, hold FRCR or equivalent, and be eligible for CCT status. They must be able to demonstrate training and competency within GI imaging.

Main duties of the job

To provide a first-class clinical service in Cross Sectional Radiology. To provide specialist Radiological opinion and reports in chest and GI imaging.

To supervise junior medical staff in Diagnostic Radiology.

To provide radiological expertise in terms of advice for imaging and reporting.

To take part in the Radiology Audit, Governance, Consultant and Departmental Meetings.

To prepare for and lead on discussions in appropriate MDTMs.

To participate on the Diagnostic on call Consultant Radiology rota.

Qualifications

Essential

  • MB ChB (or equivalent)
  • MBBS (or equivalent)
  • Full registration with the GMC and licence to practise (or eligible for)

Clinical experience
