Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and visionary nurse leader to join us as the Deputy DIPC/Divisional Director of Nursing (DivDoN), with a focus on Infection Prevention and Control (Dep DIPC). This pivotal role will support the Trust in delivering great patient care and maintaining our position at the forefront of healthcare excellence.
As the DepDIPC, you will be responsible for leading and managing the operational nursing function across the division, ensuring that the highest professional standards are maintained at all times. You will work closely with other Divisional Directors, senior managers, and clinical staff to ensure patient safety, service efficiency, and the continual development of nursing practices.
As the Dep DIPC, you will be responsible for leading and implementing the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) strategy across the Trust. You will provide expert advice and support to staff, ensuring the prevention of healthcare-associated infections and the promotion of best practices in infection control.
Main duties of the job
Accountable to the Group Chief Nursing Officer, the post holder will be an integral member of the Senior Management Team, responsible for the delivery of the safe practice in relation to all aspects of Infection Prevention and Control as well as the Trust's overall strategy.
The Deputy DIPC will work with colleagues from across the organisation and the wider health economy to lead on improvements with IPC policy and practice. The post holder will work closely with other Divisions, Executive / Corporate Directors & external partners in order to achieve Trust objectives & make a positive contribution to the provision of health services across the local economy.
Working closely with others, the Deputy DIPC is responsible & accountable for providing comprehensive & robust professional leadership, guidance, advice, support & direction to the whole organisation and as such, will have an opportunity to lead on multi-professional working.
The Deputy DIPC will provide a highly visible, accessible & authoritative presence in order to support the delivery of the Trust's overall objectives of safe, compassionate care.
