GI/Abdominal Imaging Fellow
To start August 2025 & October 2025
The Liverpool University NHS Foundation Trust was created in 2019, after the successful merger of the Royal Liverpool and Aintree Hospitals. The posts will be full time and be primarily based at the Royal Liverpool, Broadgreen and community sites at LUHFT.
Candidates must hold full GMC registration with a license to practice and have successfully completed the final FRCR examination (FRCR 2B). Candidates who are not from majority English speaking countries as defined by the UK Border Agency must provide proof of competency in English.
The GI fellow would be exposed to all aspects of gastrointestinal imaging including MR and CT small bowel imaging, MR proctography, CT colonography, hepatic and pancreatic imaging, contrast and endo-anal ultrasound, fluoroscopy and PET CT as well as exposure to endoscopic imaging interpretation. The department performs interventional oncology treatments.
The successful candidate would be exposed to all aspects of abdominal/perineal imaging including MR, CT, US and fluoroscopy imaging.
There is no on call requirement for either position. Appointed Fellows will be expected to participate in the daily departmental management and acute cover, as well as support and lead quality improvement projects and data collection for KPI/National audit/review. Research and educational delivery at a regional and national level would be greatly encouraged.
Main duties of the job

This GI post has a strong focus on education, high end GI radiology experience and research. Protected time will be provided for research.
