Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Diabetes Dietitianat Liverpool University HospitalsNHS Trust, based at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, personable, and motived dietitian to workin inpatient and outpatient settings. You will seepatients within the Diabetes Super Six Model of Care, including inpatient diabetesand complex type 1 patients. You will also be trained as a DAFNE educator to provide carb counting courses.
You will work closely with the diabetes and ward based MDT. You will have opportunity to support our award-winning youngadult diabetes service and renownedinsulin pump service, and provide education to colleagues both within and outside the organisation.
You will work with senior Diabetes Dietitians,Specialist Nurses, consultants and rest of the MDT.We participate in local and national research egposter presentations at Diabetes UK, whichyou will be able to be involved with.
The inpatient aspect of the role will involve ward-based work, managing a caseload fordiabetes wards, attending board rounds and MDTmeetings. You may also be required to provide cross cover for the wider dietetic inpatient serviceas required.
You will provide supervision for junior staff and support our renowned student training program.
We welcome applications from all with diabetes orgeneral medical experience as training will be offered as required. We will also consider an Annex 21 training post.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in a variety of areas.
This post requires a proactive approach where you contribute to innovation, service development and audit. You will be supported with your personal development goals and have regular clinical supervision and peer support. You will work closely day to day with a range of Medical and Surgical Multi-disciplinary Teams and be involved in student training and development.
Good communication skills are essential and clinically, you will provide dietetic service to inpatients and outpatients
