Job summary
Working within the Clinical Education Team, the post holder will assist the Senior ClinicalEducators in providing Trust-wide clinical training within Resuscitation, Simulation and Clinical Skills. They will lead on the delivery of basic clinical skills and resuscitation training, occasionally assisting the Senior Educators with the preparation and delivery of more advanced courses under direct supervision.
Main duties of the job
To undertake the routine teaching and facilitation across education in all areas of clinical education e.g. clinical skills, resus and simulation, with the exception of any advanced courses or Simulation debriefing.
Work in partnership with the Senior Clinical Educators to ensure a high quality educational service is provided to staff at all grades.
Deliver educational programmes across Clinical Education, supporting Medical Education and Learning and Development where required.
Deliver basic training / workshops to large groups and individual staff across the organisation, at all levels, using both formal training delivery and work place based approaches. Apply clinical knowledge in promoting patient safety.
To be engaged with all of the multi-professional learners across education, including the delivery of education packages for new and emerging roles e.g. Nursing Associates, Physicians Associates.
To support the Clinical Educators as they implement robust evaluation methodology of Clinical Education courses.Develop and maintain a basic understanding of adult learning methodologies, quality improvement methods (such as auditing) and partake in education research across the health education pathway, under the supervision of the Senior Clinical Educators.
To be involved and contribute to the continuous evaluation process across education including peer review and return of educational investment measures.

Experience

- Evidence of having studied or be willing to study in Clinical Education or other suitable qualifications (ie Mentorship)
- Experience of having practised basic clinical skills in a clinical environment, such as Venepuncture and Catheterisation
