Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the LUHFT Preoperative Assessment Department, we are looking for an experienced highly motivated B7 Clinical Nurse Specialist to support our current Teams in the development of our POA service.
The POA clinical nurse specialist should have a clear understanding of capacity and demand for theatres and scheduling.
They should seek to reduce the number of anaesthetic referrals by optimising the use of staff skills and capacity in the POA service.
The POA Clinical Nurse Specialist should have advanced knowledge and capability in POA, as well as an understanding of: o Service development o Staffing structure o Training and education for POA staff, including competency frameworks and implementing policies and guidelines o In some areas, advanced assessment of complex patients including ordering of 'above' routine investigations, interpretation of investigations, shared decision making and primary and secondary care referrals
