Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experience ophthalmic trained nurse to join our Macular service within St Paul's at the Royal Liverpool Hospital on a part-time basis.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience within an hospital Ophthalmology unit and experience with Macular patients undergoing intravitreal injections.
Main duties of the job
The role will include assisting the specialist nurse practitioners and medical staff administering the injections as well as caring for the visually challenged patient.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and be able to work on a variety of IT systems.
A knowledge of ophthalmic research would also be beneficial
