Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the therapy team of the occupational health and wellbeing service. This role is a new addition to the every growing service and flexible working is welcome. You will be self directed in your work while having support from senior physiotherapists and the OT clinical Lead.

The role will involve assessment and treatment of service users referred into the occupational health department, these may be from Liverpool hospitals or other NHS and private services which we have a contract with. Delivering group sessions independently and collaboratively psychology and Occupational therapy will also be a key part of the role.

A key deliverable of the service is to be proactive in the health and wellbeing of our workforce and the therapy team is instrumental in this organisational health approach. This will involve attending workplaces to support self management in relation to the job requirements, producing health promotion advice and posters and involvement in health and wellbeing days.

Main duties of the job

This role is a flexible role which will be to support the physiotherapy service across LUHFT and other occupational health contracts. There will be involvement in audit, data insights and intelligence and service development supported by the Occupational health therapy team.

Opportunities will include working at our various locations including the Royal, Aintree and Broadgreen Hospital within the physiotherapy remit and supporting the health inequalities.

Hours can be flexible and appointments are available via telehealth and in person.

There are development opportunities in the area of workplace assessment, ergonomics and work rehabilitation.

To contribute to the operational management of the Team, under the supervision of a Senior Physiotherapist. This may at time include deputising for the Senior Physiotherapist in their absence / and or liaising with the Therapy Lead or Occupational health therapy lead.
