Ward Clerk - Medical Day Case Unit- Aintree

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 2 part time unit clerk posts on the Medical Day Case Unit at Aintree Hospital . The job is a Monday to Friday 8-6 PM ; 3- 4 days per week , with various shift work pattern and off every weekend and bank holiday.

The MDCU is a very busy unit and the candidates should possess excellent IT, communication and organisational skills especially when dealing with appointments for patients and answering phone queries.

Main duties of the job

Excellent IT skills is required and excellent communication and organisational skills.

The main role of this position is answering the phone dealing with enquiries arriving patients for their appointments on our IPM booking system and making sure they have new appointment if needed before they leave the unit a letter you have created will be given to them.

You will liaise with all the specialities we cover on the unit and if a patients needs extra treatment you will be able to help with arranging next available appointment once checked with sister in charge.

You will be keeping the IPM booking list update and then print it off for the nursing staff to prep for the next day clinic.
