Ward Clerk Surgical Assessment Unit
This role involves working within a busy Surgical Assessment unit, specialising in General Surgery, ENT, MFU & Vascular
The principal duty of the ward clerk is to provide an efficient clerical support service to the Ward and the ward manager.
Main duties of the job
Candidates would ideally have previous experience, working in an administrative environment, preferably in the NHS, and be able to demonstrate good customer care skills.
Candidates will also need to have excellent communication, planning and interpersonal skills, as the role involves working with different disciplines, and requires an organised and systematic approach to tasks.

Ensure clinic booking summaries and clinic proformas are completed timely and accurately.
Open, sort and re-direct mail.
Make up and file new case notes.
Liaise with Clerical Team Co-ordinator re missing case notes.
Maintain and enhance an efficient and helpful attitude whilst undertaking the above duties.
