Job summary

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, hardworking and organised individual work as part of our team on ward 29 Aintree.

You will be part of a professional, friendly multi-disciplinary team. Our ethos is to ensure that all patients receive the best care in a safe clean environment by committed, caring staff.

The role of the Housekeeper is pivotal to the smooth running of the ward. It requires you to be computer literate as the successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining and rotating stock levels, ordering supplies, ensuring the maintenance of equipment and reporting faults etc.

We welcome applications from individuals who are diligent, hardworking with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Applicants must ideally have worked in a Health Care setting.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will work as an integral part of the ward teams. He/she will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities services in the ward areas and ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment.

The main elements of the role are ensuring the delivery of cleaning, catering, and minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks to meet individual patientneeds as determined by the ward sister/charge nurse.

The postholder will be required to work closely with contractors and support service departments. He/she will monitor quality standards, report deficiencies and take appropriate action.
