Job summary

There is an exciting opportunity for a Fundraising Marketing & Communications Assistant to join our Charity Team.

You will be an enthusiastic, ideally with experience in a similar role, preferably in a not-for-profit environment. You'll be able to confidently deliver compelling content that engages our wide range of supporters.

You'll have exceptional communication skills, with a love for writing copy and a talent for finding a story.

We're looking for someone who's able to relate to people from a range of backgrounds and able to form good working relationships with colleagues, clinicians, researchers, stakeholders and journalists.

As well as bringing creative, fresh ideas, you'll be highly organised and able to manage your workload across a wide-ranging grants portfolio and multiple strands of fundraising activity. You'll have strong attention to detail but also be able to step back and see the wider, strategic picture.

Main duties of the job

  • Optimize the charities digital activity and presence, including social media, email and direct mail activity.
  • Support the execution of internal and external charity marketing campaigns.
  • Tell donor stories and clearly convey how charity donations can make a difference to patient care.
  • Ensure the new Charity Trust brand identity is reflected appropriately in all internal and external communications and marketing activities.
  • Write, edit and coordinate the production of promotional material and collateral in line with the charities aims and objectives.
  • Support the planning, organisation, promotion and delivery of internal and external charity events.
  • Undertake effective evaluation of marketing campaigns.
  • Support the Trust communications and marketing team to implement charity campaigns.
  • Prioritise workload by assessing work requests with varying deadlines
  • Work on specific projects in agreement with the Head of Fundraising.
  • Work in a matrix style to ensure cross-cover across the team.
