An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Liverpool Orthopaedic and Trauma Service (LOTS). Our service includes the Regional Major Trauma service, Orthopaedic wards as well as a Fracture Clinic. We have a great team and this role will be a new addition to our structure, so there is great opportunity to grow and shape it.
The successful candidate will have a passion for the speciality and be an experienced Nurse. They will be supported throughout the training programme and their Masters course by Consultant lead.
The Masters degree place is secured with Liverpool John Moore University and the candidate/s will commence in September.This will be a training post subject to Annex 21 terms and conditions until achievement of Masters degree has been obtained.
Main duties of the job
Utilising skills, experience and knowledge to improve the experience and outcomes of care for patients by taking the lead in investigations and treatments prescribed.
To provide a consistent and personalised service by ensuring that thepatients receive the best care, in the best place from the best person or team.
To provide social, emotional and psychological support for patients fromreferral and throughout their treatment.
To deliver expert specialist evidence based care including: development,assessment, planning, implementing, evaluating programmes of evidencebased care for a defined caseload.
To make appropriate referral to consultants/other specialist/members of the multidisciplinary team in primary, secondary or tertiary care settings.
To be aware of risk management issues both locally and nationally anddevelop strategies to address identified issues.
To support the training and development of others, especially junior nursing workforce.
To be highly motivated to work with supervision, be committed to learning as well as taking opportunity to work autonomously within scope of practice and competency.
