An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Axess Sexual Health team.
The communication officer post will work directly with the Axess Sexual Health team to provide communications and marketing activity to support the delivery of the team's services within the Trust and across the community-based sites.This position will take a lead on the planning and implementation of the communications and marketing plan delivering all internal and external communications, marketing materials, social media and digital content.
The job will involve cross-team working with the role sitting within both the Trust Communications and Marketing team and axess Sexual Health.The specific remit to work directly as part of the axess Sexual Health team, will mean physically working at different locations, including at least 1 day per week with the corporate communication team.
In addition to the above areas of coverage, the individual in this post will need to assist and work closely with the outreach team, to plan, arrange and advertise events.
This is an exciting time to join our team, as we are also in the process of further expanding our research portfolio and develop our own trials which may require "marketing".
The successful candidate will therefore need to support communications around research activities by collaborating with the research team.

- Website management and development to update the website with new content when necessary and work with website developers on redesign and redevelopment as and when required.
- Writing press releases for the attention of local media in all Axess areas and distributing these via the Trust Communications team. Keeping a record of all Press and media coverage via Google Alerts.
- Produce, coordinate, and edit high-quality written and online communications, including newsletters, bulletins, website, intranet, leaflets, and posters.
- Provide content for the website/intranet/social media and e-newsletters relevant to the service, marketing campaigns and events
- Managing responses to social media posts, including compliments and complaints, in line with Trust and service protocols.
- Undertake effective evaluation of marketing campaigns and events including use of tracked links in order to measure the success of all campaigns via Google Analytics
- Ordering merchandise for campaigns/ordering posters and promotional material as well as managing the invoices and dealing with Trust finance.
- Managing the communications apprentice including day to day support and supervision and compiling a suitable job plan to support their ongoing training and development
- Work with a wide range of different people and departments to plan and produce video content, including those aimed at staff and patients/the public.
