Job summary

Aintree Catering is an innovative department. The primary task is to feed patients but we have a large retail department too.

This position is based in the accelerator building and is in one of our caf concepts Torino.

Torino is an Italian Caf serving freshly made pizzas, ciabatta, light snacks, coffee & cakes. We pride ourselves on our high standard of food served, customer service and the cleanliness of the units.

This position will primarily be based in the accelerator building on the Royal Liverpool site but you may be expected to work in any of Liverpool University hospitals retail outlets or patient canteens.

Main duties of the job

The following Catering Assistant band 2 vacancies have become available @ Torino Italian Caf in the accelerator building .

Torino is an Italian caf and is very popular with staff and visitors. We make our own pizzas which are of a high quality. The role involves food preparation, coffee making , kitchen cleaning, customer service & cash handling.

Although the positions are primarily based in the unit advertised, you may be required to work anywhere within the catering department depending on the needs of the service.

IT skills are required for all positions as the Trust does mandatory training and appraisals on line.

We are looking for staff who are self motivated and can work in a team or on their own unsupervised. You will be working in a busy hospital and can be moved as the needs of the service requires, also you may be required to work Bank holidays including Christmas Day. Although training will be given for all positions, a good knowledge of catering is required.
