Consultant Psychiatrist, 0.6 wte (2 posts), Permanent, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, CAMHS division, Sandwell and Wolverhampton / Dudley and Walsall.
You are invited to join a friendly and motivated Medical team within the Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Your post will be based at the Edward street outpatient clinic, Edward Street, Sandwell B70 8NY/ Ladies Walk Center, Dudley.
The post will cover community assessment, treatment and psychiatric care for eating disorders presentation under 18 years of age in Black Country (Sandwell and Wolverhampton). There are on call commitments to this post. You will be clinically responsible for patients within ED service under 18 years in Sandwell and Wolverhampton. You will be part of an established MDT that includes Psychologists, specialty doctor, nurses, Allied Health Professionals and support staff.
The All age Eating disorder service sits within the CAMHS division.
Main duties of the job
Provide and support the development of specialist Eating disorder services for Children and Adolescents under 18 years, to help safeguard the wellbeing of vulnerable children and adolescents, to comply with confidentiality policies and to record activity accurately and comprehensively.
Assess and treat patients under 18 years of age in out-patients setting with eating disorder and co-morbid mental illness in line with NICE guidance, best practice and Trust policies.
Work closely with Multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care and provide clinical leadership within the team.
Support the care of Children and Adolescents with eating disorder and comorbid mental illness by developing strong partnership with other agencies and services, including education, social care, primary care and voluntary agencies.
Contribute to clinical leadership Trust wide with CAMHS and Adult mental health division, including participating in the governance structures.
