Clinical Lead to work in the Mental Health Support Team (Reflexions)

Band 7 37.5hrs working across Sandwell
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and accredited Cognitive Behavioural Practitioner to be part of the Children's and Young People's Mental Health Support Team across the Black Country (focusing on Sandwell).
Main duties of the job
The mental health support team provides early intervention to support Children and Young People's mental health and emotional wellbeing which may include guided self-help, CBT informed interventions and whole school approach. Interventions can be offered 1:1 or within a group settings for children and young people or parents/guardians. We aim to support education based staff by offering consultations and timely advice alongside dedicated staff workshops on varying topics. The team has the opportunity to further develop work within the field of young people's mental health and wellbeing with a focus on development of whole school approaches to mental health and wellbeing and the development of the think family approaches within the schools environment.
The post holder will be knowledgeable and experienced in mental health problems and psychiatric disorders and will be expected to carry out in-depth mental health assessments including risk assessments where required. The post holder will also need to be experienced in multi-agency working to ensure that children and young people receive the most appropriate care and interventions in a timely manner.
About us
A CBT supervision qualification is desirable as we are a training model and have various BABCP accredited training courses offered through Derby and Northampton Universities to colleagues within the team who require supervision.
The post holder will work in partnership with the Reflexions Leadership Team to further develop the partnership working that is currently taking place between Education, Local Authority and wider CAMHS services.
Applicants should be experienced in children and young people's mental health at a senior level with the required leadership and clinical skills. Experience of recent working with schools and delivering mental health promotional collaborative work in such an arena is vital in order to be able to fulfill the role.
