Job summary

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Family Work Lead, who is trained and experienced in Behavioural Family Therapy.

This is a Pan Trust post covering the four localities, Dudley, Walsall, Sandwell and Wolverhampton. You would be expected to travel to all localities, but you could choose which area to base yourself from.

Your role would be to ensure evidence-based family interventions are provided across EIP to meet national standards.

As family work lead, you will have oversight and responsibility for ensuring the delivery of FI and carer support across the service meets the target set out in NCAP.

The role includes supervision of clinical staff, alongside leading in house training in family work and carer support.

You would work as an integrated part of the MDT, and co-work families with other team members.

Main duties of the job

In adherence with NICE Guidelines, the post-holder will ensure the provision of evidence-based Family Intervention for Psychosis (FI) sessions for EIP patients and their families .

Working closely with the Service leads you will support the delivery of interventions such as behavioural family therapy (BFT) in the 4 EIP teams through the offer of training, individual and group supervision and advice and guidance to the MDTs. Where required you will also jointly deliver interventions with complex cases to support care coordinators and the clinical team. The post holder will work with the Service lead in improving the offer of structured, evidence based carer support with consideration of how we deliver carer groups both face to face and virtually.

To be responsible for data collection and overview of work completed, service needs and audit.
