About us

The post holder will work within the Family Safeguarding model for Dudley.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and will work directly with the parent providing help and support to create lasting change. In your role you will demonstrate your ability to support and provide a level of containment to some of the most complex of clients and may assist in opening pathways to secondary care where required.

The model requires the use of Motivational Interviewing to harness motivation to change and make it easier to access help. By using motivational practice to enable many more parents to accept help, Family Safeguarding provides specially designed individual and group work programs to change abusive behaviours, improve parental mental health and reduce harmful substance misuse. There will be an expectation that group work is facilitated and undertaken with those parents who are assessed as appropriate participants.
