Wolverhampton Talking Therapies offers intervention for Depression and all anxiety disorders. As a service we consistently excel with above average moving to recovery rates, positive client feedback and exceptionally high job satisfaction from our team.
With the team having changed management in the last 2 years, a number of positive improvements have been introduced including blended (office and remote) working opportunities, the championing of specialist areas and a strong emphasis on funded CPD.
An opportunity has arisen for highly organised and motivated individuals to train as Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP). The successful candidates will study for a professional qualification in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions.
The training is delivered by Newman University. The clinical placement will be a fixed-term post with Wolverhampton Talking Therapies.
Main duties of the job
In this role the post holder will be required to attend University teaching, undertake self-directed study and provide clinical practice offering assessment and low intensity treatment to patients presenting with common mental health problems such as Depression and anxiety. The post holder will receive appropriate support throughout their training journey.

Successful applicants will hold:
- Qualifications suitable to their level of study
- Postgraduate Certificate (M Level) qualification route: A degree in a relevant subject or equivalent (e.g., Registered Nurses and AHPs)
- Graduate Certificate route: 2 Advanced Level GCEs or equivalent (e.g., B-tec, GNVQ, NVQ Level 3 and 4)
- Relevant experience necessary for clinical practice
- Significant experience of working with people who have suffered with a mental health problem
