Main duties of the job
Staff nurses on MacArthur work closely with patients, carers and the MDT, providing bespoke support to promote recovery.
The successful applicant will receive training and support around providing least restrictive care as part of a team focused on patient experience and risk management, working with mainstream mental health services to provide a high quality, person-centred service.
Our sites are supported through effective staffing and an established multi-disciplinary team, including experienced nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, physiotherapists, OT and support staff.
On joining, you will become part of an organization in which nursing has a strong clinical voice, and where there is excellent opportunity to develop skills and experience.
If successful, you will work as part of a motivated and patient-centred team with a range of clinical and organisational responsibilities to deliver outstanding care. These will include:
- Development of recovery-focused therapeutic relationships
- Bespoke care planning and risk management
- Clinical leadership in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment
- Shift co-ordination
- Participation in clinical and managerial supervision
- Contribution to service planning and quality improvement initiatives.
- Role modelling - in particular, demonstrating self-awareness in the context of a professional clinical role
While experience is an advantage, this is a developmental role - you don't need to know everything, but come ready to learn!
