Job summary

E-Rostering Team Leader

This new role is an exciting opportunity to employ your experience, skills and knowledge of Allocate's e-rostering systems in a forward thinking Resourcing department at the Black Country's Lead Provider for mental health and learning disability services. Co-ordinating the day to day activity of a small but very busy team, the successful candidate will work with the Resourcing & E-Rostering Manager to develop a programme of improvements in rostering capabilities, aimed at ensuring advanced rostering levels of attainment are reached. Specifically, the role will involve making on-site visits to all of our inpatient settings in the Black Country as well as our specialist community teams, to develop and embed full auto-rostering capability in our 7-day services. The role will also provide the opportunity to work with other members of the Resourcing team on streamlining our workforce information processes and integrating the Allocate products with other workforce systems. This is a hybrid role, working remotely but with a minimum two days per week on a Trust site.

Main duties of the job

  • Manage the day to day activity of the E-Rostering team.
  • Act as system administrator, ensuring that the systems are updated and configured to maximise effectiveness and data quality.
  • Work with roster managers and operational leads to review and improve existing rosters and to set up effective auto-rostering capabilities across all of our 7-day services.
  • Help to develop existing members of the team, empowering them to increase their knowledge and expertise with rostering systems.

About us

The E-Rostering function is part of a wider Resourcing department, which sits within the People Directorate. Taking up this role in E-Rostering will mean you are part of a progressive Resourcing function, with opportunities to develop skills and career development in all areas of workforce systems and processes.
