The Facilities Environmental Assistant will report to the Facilities Supervisor on their site of work. They will work in a collaborative and co-operative manner with the team of Facilities staff to promote and provide the services within Housekeeping, Catering and Portering.
Main duties of the job
They will hold a multi-skilled role where their key responsibilities will be as follows:- To ensure the environment is cleaned to National standards.- Deliver meal/beverage service- Bed making- Manage linen quality- Report Maintenance issues- Water Flushing- Removal of all waste from area of work- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals for both patients and colleagues- Compliance to Food Hygiene regulations and to comply with HACCP- Assist in the movement of all waste, linen and food which may require the use of electric tug vehicles or Trust vehicles- Site litter picking and ensure external site compounds are kept cleaned anmaintained ensuring all waste is segregated as per legislation- Assist with the movement into secure areas of stores deliveries and to deliver items to wards/departments when instructed to do so
