The Role
We are looking to recruit Trainee High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapists within Walsall Talking Therapies Service to work in a well established clinical workforce of Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners and High Intensity Psychological Therapy Practitioners.
The role will involve two days a week attending university (in-person) and the remainder of the working days each week in-service providing client-centred assessments and evidence-based psychological treatments to clients presenting with common mental health difficulties.

Main duties of the job
Trainee High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist
This role is looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals looking to further their career in the mental health sector by offering assessments and evidence based psychological interventions to clients presenting with common mental health problems.
Please be aware that when applying for this post there is an expectation that the post-holder will apply for and complete the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy High Intensity Post Graduate Diploma with Staffordshire University.
University teaching will be predominantly taught in person and thus it is important candidates are able to travel. It is important candidates are also able to regularly travel into both University and wok base.
Walsall Talking Therapies Service within the Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service to the local population of Walsall.
The service offers a number of evidence-based psychological interventions both at step 2 and step 3 as proposed by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidance. The service endeavours to offer the local population a full range of evidence-based psychological interventions, within a stepped care approach, to a high standard and quality .

- A recorded/registered qualification in one of the following at graduate level in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy or within a psychological therapy.
- Evidence of meeting the Knowledge Skills and Attitude (KSA) requirements of BABCP
