Main duties of the job
Post graduate training will be offered but we are looking for individuals who have already established transferable skills and are willing to develop them further within this speciality. Opportunity to seek experience in the other areas will be accommodated, wherever possible, to enable succession planning.
The post holders will be supported to develop both their clinical and management skills, being expected to support both the Manager and the Team providing strong leadership and contributing to service development and other service demands. Experience of prescribing therapy equipment/orthotics within paediatrics is essential.
The post is based at the Sunflower Centre, John Corbett Drive, Amblecote, a facility which offers excellent out-patient opportunities.
Applicants should hold a diploma/degree in physiotherapy and must be registered with the HCPC.
Applicants must hold a clean driving licence.

Due to the expansion of the service, Dudley Community Paediatric Physiotherapy Service is looking for a Band 6 Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our innovative, experienced team, committed to the delivery of high quality services.
We are looking for a pro-active paediatric physiotherapist, who would like to develop their clinical skills further, having the opportunity to work in a variety of settings in which to develop their skills, with the service offering many specialities in house, including DCD, MSK, Serial Casting Clinic, Gait Clinic and CPIP. Our unique selling point being that we provide all paediatric physiotherapy for the Borough, having been able to develop services, which, in other areas, are provided by Acute Services.
We are looking for a well-motivated, enthusiastic physiotherapist, who wishes to develop their paediatric physiotherapy skills/and or will have already gained experience within the speciality, having a proven track record within 24 Hour Postural Management and will be expected to have excellent clinical and interpersonal skills. The successful candidates must have had a broad base of experience in Band 5/6 rotations, including specific knowledge and technical skills and experience in paediatrics. Additionally, the candidates will show some evidence of some experience of working with children or in the field of paediatrics, at least on a voluntary basis, ideally.
