Job summary

Provision of specialist Mental Health occupational therapy interventions, within a number of community based settings including working with the third sector.

The principles of recovery and enablement will be embedded within the delivery of interventions tailored to facilitate a safe and supportive environment on a group and 1:1 basis. The post holder is likely to face a broad range of scenarios requiring the use of both analytical and effective judgements. These may include defusing of conflict, address sensitive issues, managing distress, giving constructive feedback, inspiring and motivating and explaining complex technical information and education for service users and carers within the Early Intervention Service. The post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to service delivery through provision of occupational therapy specific and general mental health activities.
