Job summary
The hospital consists of two older adult inpatient wards. Linden ward specialises in the treatment and care of people with dementia while Cedars ward supports the recovery of patients with various mental health needs who require inpatient support. A person centred approach to all care planning, interactions and activities is advocated throughout the hospital.
You will be joining a friendly and supportive team who take great pride in the quality of the care that they provide to their local community. You will either be a newly qualified or experienced UK registered staff nurse willing to learn and develop your skills within older adult inpatient care.
Main duties of the job
- Care planning and evaluation in collaboration with the patient and/or their carers and working in a named nurse capacity.
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Flexibility and problem solving.
- Developing meaningful therapeutic relationships with patients and/or their carers as part of the named nurse role.
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team while also using own initiative when necessary.
- Working in the role of Nurse in Charge of shifts; delegating and coordinating shifts.
